Dan Heintzelman Appointed New Non-Executive Chairman of MB Aerospace Group

MB Aerospace, the international aerospace engineering group, has today announced the appointment of industry specialist Dan Heintzelman as its new Non-Executive Chairman.

The announcement forms part of a wider appointment by Blackstone, MB Aerospace’s new private equity partner, which has recruited Heintzelman as a senior advisor, providing strategic and operational counsel on the aerospace and industrials sectors.

With nearly 40 years of industry experience, Heintzelman joins leading Tier I engine component manufacturer and repair business MB Aerospace from General Electric (GE) where he served as Vice Chairman and was responsible for services and operations.

MB Aerospace Group Chief Executive Craig Gallagher said: “We are absolutely thrilled to land someone of Dan's experience and stature to guide the board of MB Aerospace as we look to expand globally and significantly in the coming years.

“Dan's industrial and manufacturing knowledge alongside his global aerospace experience place him perfectly to guide us on developing a world class organisation capable of partnering with Aero-Engine OEM customers.”

In his most recent role, Heintzelman worked across GE’s industrial businesses to strengthen the company’s services, advanced manufacturing and product development capabilities. Prior to his role as Vice Chairman, Heintzelman served as President & CEO of GE Oil & Gas and a GE Senior Vice President, and previously led GE Aircraft Engines Services.

Heintzelman earned a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University and currently serves on the university’s Board of Trustees. A member of LORD Corporation's Board of Directors, he resides in Boston, Massachusetts, where he and his wife have three children and two grandchildren.
